THE CANTERBURY TALES WEEK13

Hello:) "The Canterbury Tales" is very interesting! It's easy to read for me because it collects short stories. I did not write any ending of the stories in my post, so you are worth reading the rest of these stories by yourself. Anyway...,

~THE CANTERBURY TALES~
This time, I've read two stories, "The Pardoner's Tale" and " The Franklin's Tale".

First, "The Pardoner's Tale". There were three bad men and they wanted to find and kill Death (the god of death). On their way, they found a lot of money! However, all of the three wanted to keep the money to themselves in their real minds. Thus, The two of them made a plan to kill another man while he was going to a town to buy food and drinks. Whereas the man who went to the town was planning to kill the two men by liquor with poison...

Next, " The Franklin's Tale". a beautiful lady, Dorigen and a knight, Arveragus got married. They really love each other. However, Arveragus had to leave his wife and home for a few years. Dorigen was living sadly and kept waiting and waiting for her husband. Then, a young man who had fell in love with her told her his feeling. She suggested a unreasonable demand. She asked him to take the black rocks away from the sea because she was afraid of hitting and sinking her husband's ship by those rocks. Of course, she had never the young man could do like that! So, she promised him to love him if he could take rocks away. After a while, her husband returned back and she was living happily but the same time, the young man met a magician and could do that! The rocks disappeared from view by his and the magician's magic....!

Both of stories have sense of fantasy and trick. It's interesting! I'm looking forward to reading next stories.

THE CANTERBURY TALES WEEK12

Hi. How are you doing? I'm spending a good time with my family.

Anyway, I started reading a new book, which is " The Canterbury Tales" written by Geoffrey Chaucer. I think that you've heard the title and the author.

~THE CANTERBURY TALES~
A group of pilgrims are traveling together for five days from London to Canterbury. On the way, each pirglim has to tell a story to keep the others amused.

I've already read the three tales, 'The Knight's Tale', 'The Clerk's Tale' and 'The Wife of Bath's Tale'.
All of them are interesting story!

First, 'The Knight's Tale'. There are two knights who are prisoned in a high tower in Athens by Duke Theseus. They were living together for a long time and they were good friends. One day, They saw a beautiful girl from the tower, and both of them fell in love with the lady who was yonger sister of Theseus's wife. Since then, they began to have an adversarial relationship. After, one of the knights, Arcite was deportef from Athens and another knight, Palamon was not released. However, they couldn't give up the beautifyl lady....

Second, 'The Clerk's Tale'. A perfect lord, Walter married to the most beautiful girl in his town, Griselda. He made her promise to do what Walter said. Walter wanted to test her love, so he commanded her to cruel orders. He asked her to send away her two children, and at last he asked her to go away. She accepted all orders because she loved him. Walter was convinced that his wife loved him so much. So, he decided to do a last order and give her a bif surprise....

Finally, 'The Wife of Bath's Tale'. There was a knight who was going to be executed. However, he gave a chance to be saved from the execution by the Queen. She asked him to answer a question, 'what did a woman want most in all the world'. The knight gave a year and a day to figure out the answer, but he didn't find. The day was coming, and then he asked an ugly old woman the question's answer. She helped him but she gave him a condition. She said, ' You have to do the first thing that I ask you, if I give you a right answer!’. Fortunately, he gave the queen a good answer and the old lady appeared and said, ' I want you to marry me!'. The queen agreed the exchange and the conditiond, so she ordered him to marry to the old woman. At the beginning, he didn't like her and didn't want to accept her, but he was getting to feel love her because she had a good heart. Finally, he accepted her and kissed her, and then the old lady transformed into a beautiful fairy...!!

I like 'The Wife of Bath's Tale' the best! It's like  'The Beauty and the Beast'!

ROBINSON CRUSOE WEEK11

Hi, it is December! Christmas and  our winter vacation are coming:) I'm looking forward to them!
Anyway, this is today's post.

~ROBINSON CRUSOE~ FINAL
 Robinson and his new friend, Friday were enjoying living together. One day, an English ship came to Robinson's island. He felt happy because he might be able to return to his country, England. However, the ship seemed to be strange. The crews had some prisoners and the prisoners were going to be killed. Thus, Robinson and Friday  saved  the prisoners while the crew were sleeping. They could save two prisoners, and one of them was the captain of the ship. His ship and crews were taken away by two bad men. Robinson, Friday, captain and the other man made a plan to rescue the captain's crew and get back his ship from bad men. Finally, the plan was a great success! The two bad men were dead and Friday could see his father who was on the ship as a prisoner. The ship captain deeply appreciated Robinson and he gave his ship to Robinson. Therefore, Robinson returned back to his country, England with Friday. He  had no money when he arrived at England, so the captain gave him two hundred pounds and he became a rich man because he had a large farm in Brazil. And then, he aided his nephews and nieces because his sister and brother were poor. After a while, he got married and had a three children.

At last, Robinson and Friday visited the island. A lot of people were living there and they met his old old friends of the island. Friday's father was there too. He would live on his island again in the future.

It was an interesting story! I thought that any kindness return back to ourselves.!

ROBINSON CRUSOE WEEK10

Hi, How did you spend your weekend? I had a great time with my family:)
Here is a today's post!

~ROBINSON CRUSOE~
Robinson enjoyed living on the island. He had more than fifity goats, a large garden, a farm with a lot of corn and two good houses.

One day, he found the mark of a man's foot on the island. He was afraid that a stranger was on the island then. Furthernore, he found some humans' bones! He felt that his life threatened, so he began to carry a gun about him. After that he saw cannibals and their prisoners. Two prisoners were being tortured, and one of them was killed before Robinnson. Suddenly, the another prisoner ran away from the cannibal group. Robinson was hiding because he was afraid of being found out by the cannibals, but he finally shot two pursuers of the cannibals and save the prisoner who was a young and good man. Robinson decided to live with the prisoner and named the prisoner Friday because the day was on Friday. Their community life started.

I was scared with the cannibals because I couldn't believe that human ate other men! Also, I felt that it was nice that Robinson met Friday and started with him because he would feel lonely no longer.

ROBINSON CRUSOE WEEK9

Hi. I began to reading a new book! The title is "Robinson Crusoe". I'm sure that you have heard the title before. It is so so sooo famous! However I have never read the story despite that I know the name of the story. That's why I chose the story.

~ROBINSON CRUSOE~
Robinson Crusoe was born in York, a city in the north of England in 1632. He had an affluence life with his family. His father who had come to England from Germany was a clever man and he said to Robinson "Stay in York. I will help you with money and a job. You can be happy here." However, Robinson left his home without saying nothing because he decided to go to sea on the ship of his friend's father with the friend. But the first journey was interrupted because of a heavy storm. Although the friend's father said him " Go home. The sea is not the place for you.", he couldn't give up to go to sea. So, he left his friend and the father and found a man with a ship. He went to Brazil and after that he left Brazil for Africa with eleven crews and they could find an island. Then,they were involved in a great storm and all of the crews dead except Robinson.

Robinson arrived the island on his own but no one was living there. His new life in the unpopulated island started!

He brought tools and food from his ship, but it sank to the sea with his crews for a few weeks.
Therefore, he hunted animals and ate fruits in the island, and he made his own house, clothes and garden. His life in the island was getting better and better, so he was feeling comfortable for his new life.

I can understand his feeling which he wanted to sail on the great sea. But the sea is strict and dangerous. Robinson is a really luckey and burly man!

AN IDEAL HUSBAND WEEK8

Hi, I had a great time in this weekend. Did you have?
Anyway, it's today's post.

~AN IDEAL HUSBAND(FINAL)~
Lord Goring received a letter from Lady Chiltern because she wanted him to ask about her husband. She guessed Lord Goring knew something about her husband's secret. She really wanted his help,so the letter said that she wanted him ,she trusted him ,she was coming to him, Gertrude. It was an ambiguous writing for other people.

Then, Mrs Cheveley visited him,but he was meeting with his father about marriage, so she was waiting other room for a while. In the room, she found the letter and read it. Finally, she stole it because she thought that she could use the letter to persuade Sir Robert accepting her plan. However, Lord Goring noticed it later and got back it from her.

They used to be lovers,but Mrs Cheveley hadn't understood the true love. She was always persisting in money and position and feeling lonely because she didn't know how she loved someone. Mrs Chevely said to Lord Goring what she should have done and she wanted him love her. But He just told her that she could never understand the love.

At last, the problem was solved and Sir Robert didn't lose his honest, position and wife. Lord Goring also decided to marry to Sir Robert's sister, Miss Mabel Chiltern.

It was happy ending except Mrs Cheveley. I think that there are no happiness if you try plunging someone into difiicult situation.

Next week, I'm going to read a new book!

AN IDEAL HUSBAND WEEK7

Hi, It's NOVEMBER!
I've started to read a new book, "An Ideal Husband" written by Oscar Wilde in 1895.
The story is one of Wild's four  comical plays and it was made into a movie in the UK in 1999.

~AN IDEAL HUSBAND~
In London , Sir Robert Chiltern was a succuessful politician and an honest man. He also had good-looking and intellegient face. Moreover, he was a devoted husband for his beautiful Lady Chiltern. He was indeed the ideal husband!

However, his perfect life was begun to break down becasuse of Mrs Cheveley who knew his past. She visited him and asked to join force her Argentine Canal plan, but Sir Robert rejected the cooperation becasuse the plan was criminal plan. But then, Mrs Chevely said to him that she was going to tell his dangerous secret to an  English newspaper if he rejected her plan. Actually, he had sold a government secret to a businessman to get a large sum of money in the past. No one knew the secret except Mrs Cheveley and his old friend, Baron Arnheim. If the secret was spread, his perfect life would collapsed. So, he accepted the proposal.

After that, his wife, Lady Chiltern knew that her husband decided to support the Argentine Canal plan which he objected against till a short while ago. She couldn't understand him and let him wrote a letter to Mrs Chevely about refusing the plan. Sir Robert never told his wife the truth because he was afraid of losing her love. His wife hated dishonest things. But, Mrs Chevely exposed his wife about his dangerous secret and her husband confessed what he had done before. Lady Chiltern was disappointed. The situation what Sir Robert was afraid happened.

I  don't feel that there is a perfect man in the world. Everyone has a weak point and an unpleasant past. I'd like to know what Sir Robert do next!

BRAVE WEEK6

Hi, this is the last week in October! It is too fast!
And I have read the book, 'BRAVE' at last! I'm thinking which book I 'm going to read next:)

~BRAVE　(FINAL)~
The witch gave Merida a special cake with spell. After Merida returned to her castle and gave her mother. Then, Queen, Elinor transformed a bear like Mor'du. She screamed at first, however the bear was her mum. It means that Elinor had a human feeling even her appearance had been changed. Merida regreted what she had done for her mother because she never wanted to change her mother into a bear.Therefore they went to the witch to ask breaking Elinor's spell. But the witch had gone and Merida and her mother were depressed. And what was even worse, Elinor gradually became a real wild bear.

As they returned to their castle, all people in castle found Elinor bear and they tried to kill her because King Fungus thought that the bear was Mor'du. Merida was locked in a room because her father wanted that his daughter was in safe place not to be injured by the bear. Merida tried to persuade her father that the bear was his wife, Elinor, but she couldn't.

Fortunately, three little bears brought her a key of the locked room, so she could leave the room and run to Elinor bear. Surprisingly, the three were her triplets brothers who had eaten the same cake.

Elinor was surrounded by Fungus and his men. They were just about to kill her. Merida ran up to her mother to save her. Merida tried acting what she broke the her mother's spell, however it was not right way. Thus, Merida began to cry because she didn't know what she should have done. She cried and drapped their tapestry over Elinor's body and said, ' I love you'.

Then, the spell broke and Elinor transformed into human appearance! Also, triplets 's spell broke then.

Her betrothals returned back to thier own countries by Fungus's excuse. Merida, Elinor, Fungus and triplets lived happily ever after.

I felt that the last transfomation scene was the similar to that of 'Beauty and Beast'. I think that Disney theme to break the spell is expressing 'I love you'. It was an interesting book! I'd like to see the movie too!

BRAVE WEEK5

Hi, it is getting cold and  cold!! Especially evening and night is too cold. I don't think that I can bear winter weather. Anyway,

~BRAVE~
In the archery contest, all suitors failed to shot  the target, but Wee Dingwall could hit the mark miraculously despite that he was seemed that he had never practiced a bow and arrow. His family was so glad becasue he won a position to marry to Princess Merida. However, Merida appeared the crowd with her bow and arrow, and shot the target easily. Everyone was shocked and then Queen Elinor walked to Merida and reproved the princess.

Queen and Merida moved to a room where there was a family tapestry and they talked what they wanted to understand each other, but finally they got into a quarrel. Merida rushed out of her castle with her hourse, Angus. At last, she was in the forest and  found some blue lights, so she followed them and reached to a thatched cottage where an old woman who could grant any wishes. Merida negotiate the old witch to be granted her wish, but the woman rejected at the beginning. Therefore, Merida suggested that she bought the all carving commodities in the cottage and then the witch grant one wish. The witch accepted it and asked Merida's only one wish. Merida answered that she wanted her mother!


I was excited when I was reading the archery contest scene and meeting with the old witch. But  I  really want Merida and Queen to reconcile. By the way, I 'm interested in how Merida's mother would change after.

BRAVE WEEK4

Hi, it's hot weather despite it is in October! I don' t know when I should chage my clothes.
Ok.....

~BRAVE~
One morning, the clan lords' firstborn sons, Macintosh, MacGuffin and Wee Dingwall came into DunBroch Harbor and arrived Merida's castle. Merida dressed up and appeared with her parents. Queen Elinor and King Fergus carefully talked with the suitors because they had to choose a good husband for their beloved daughter. However, the suitors got into a scuffle among them. King Fergus was excited and joined in the fight. Queen Elinor was disgusted and stopped it. Then, Merida proposed that the suitors should compete by archery to marry her. All the members agreed to the suggestion. An archery contest started!


I don't think that Merida get married to one of the suitors easily because she was neither interested in suitors nor marriage. I think that she is going to do surprising action to stop her marriage because she suggested an archery contest. As you know, she was good at an archery.

BRAVE WEEK3

     Hi. October has come! It's so fast isn't it? And it's getting cold, so I should change to a different set of clothing in this weekend. Anyway...

                                                                                  
~BRAVE~
Merida had grown up an active and inquisitive princess. She liked riding hourse and practcticing on her bow and arrow. Although the princess was getting to be braver and braver, her mother ( Queen) did not feel good because she thought that a princess should have behaved elegantly. Thus, the Queen kept giving lessson for being a head of the country to her daughter. However Merida was bored with the age-old custom.

One day, Merida sliped out her castle and stepped into the forest with her horse,Angus.Then, she found notches in the rock for her hands and feet and began to climb. Hand over hand, she slowly pulled herself up to the Crone's Tooth. As the sun passed over the mountains, a shaft of sunlight hit the waterfall next to the Crone's Tooth. This was the Fire Fall she'd heard about in ancient stories and songs.

She went back her home with exciting. At the dinner table, she quarreled with her mother because the queen forced Merida to get married to her betrothed. Merida couldn't accept the sudden marriage.


I'm sorry that Merida is not able to choose her way of living because she is a 'princess'. Also, she never wanted to marriage. But I don't feel that she follow her parents and get married. I'm looking forward to reading next.

BRAVE WEEK2

Hi, the summer vacation was over...:-(　
Did you spend  a good time? Although I had a enjoyable time, I want  more vacation.

So, in this fall term, I'm going to read  'BRAVE' written by Irene Trimble. The story was animated by Disney ・PIXAR and it is known as ' Merida to osoroshino mori' in Japanese title. I have never seen the movie, so I really excited to read it. Also, it is interseting that the title is completely different in between English and Japanese.


~BRAVE~
In the DunBroch kingdom in Scotland, a young and happy royal family was set up under a tent and they were enjoying a carefree outdoor picnic. The king who was princess Merida's father laid his bow and arrows on the table. Then, Merida was interested in the weapons. She tried to pick up it, but it was too heavy to carry for the little princess. Thus, the king gave her another bow and she was really delighted.
However, a fierce bear suddenly attacked the family. The king let his family go  and fought with the bear to save his family. Finally, he lost his left leg.


After reading till this pages, I thought that Merida's interest for bows was similar to  Yae Nijima's interest for guns. I understood the princess was really 'brave' as  the title.

Dr JEKYLL and Mr HYDE WEEK15

Hi. Today , I saw a movie, 'Les Miserable' and it was twice for me. I was really moved and I want to see the musical in English someday! Anyway,

~Dr JEKYLL and Mr HYDE~
  Mr.Utteson brgan to read Dr. Jekyll's letter. Dr.Jekyll was an earnest person since  he was young. He had kept studying despite his classmates and friends were going out and having fun. However, in his mind, there was an energetic feeling. It was bigger and bigger and at last it created Mr. Hyde. A gentle man, Dr. Jekyll was moved to pity by Mr Hyde, so he let Mr Hyde take action freely. Moreover, Dr.Jekyll invented some chemical powder that Mr Hyde separated from him. However, Mr Hyde's power became bigger and bigger and Dr. Jekyll couldn't control his body and Mr. Hyde.
He was distressed by his another character and finally he wrote a letter to Dr. Lanyon before disappearing his real character, Dr Jekyll.

This story was sad and it didn't say what happened to Dr. Jekyll. I don't know whether he disappeared or not. I'm sorry to him. Also, I want to know what Mr. Utterson did next after reading the letter. If you are interested in it, I want you to read this story. Interesting!

Dr JEKYLL and Mr HYDE WEEK14

Hi, summer vacation is coming! What will I do this summer? Anyway,

~Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde~
     Mr Utterson returned to his home to read Dr.Lanyon's letter. Dr.Lanyon said that he had received a letter from Dr.Jekyll. The letter said that Dr.Jekyll wanted him to come to Dr.Jekyll's room and stole some packets of chemical powder to save himself. Also, Dr. Lanyon should have given them when a man visited him. He followed what Dr.Jekyll said in his letter.
     At midnight, the man visited Dr Lanyon. The man was Dr. Jekyll. To be exact, he was Mr.Hyde. Mr Hyde was given chemical powder from Dr.Lanyon and drank it.After drinking it, Mr. Hyde transformed Dr. Henry Jekyll. Then, he began to confess to Dr. Lanyon with tears in his eyes.

I really feel sorry for Dr. Jekyll because he is distressed by his another character. And then, I guess that the chemical powder is the key item of this story. I'm looking forward to reading next part.
The next story is a climax!

Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde WEEK13

hi, final tests are coming... I don't like this month:-(


~Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde~
Dr Lanyon who was Mr Utterson's old friend was getting weak and finally died. Then, Mr Utterson received an envelope. It was Dr Lanyon's handwriting. He tried opening it, however it said " Not to be opened untill the death or disappearance of Doctor Henry Jekyll". After all, he stopped opening it and locked it away in his cupboard .


He went to Dr Jekyll's house many time because he wanted to see and talk to him, however Dr Jekyll refused to meet Mr Utterson without reasons. Mr Utterson never gave up and kept visiting Dr Jekyll.
One day, Dr Jekyll's servant asked Mr Utterson to come with him because there was something wrong about Dr Jekyll. Dr Jekyll shut himself up  in his room and the servant didn't him  for a long time. Moreover, there was a strange voice which was not voice by Dr Jekyll , whenever  the servant knocked the door of Dr Jekyll's room and talked to him. 


The servant and Mr Utterson opened the door and entered the room. However, there were a body of a man on the floor and  a note. It was a handwriting by Dr Jekyll .He said " If you are reading this, it means that I have dissapeared. Please go home and read Lanyon's letter. "


I wonder who is the body and I want to know where Dr Jekyll have gone. I think that Dr Lanyon knew some important facts of Dr Jekyll. Interesting!!

Dr JEKYLL and Mr HYDE WEEK12

 Hi. Today is ' the Star Festival'!! I hope that 'Hikoboshi' and 'Orihime' could meet at this night.
Anyway,

~Dr JEKYLL and Mr HIDE  WEEK12~
A servant girl saw Mr Hyde at one night. Then, Mr Hyde murdered an old man who was Mr Utterson's client.

Mr Utterson found his way to Dr Jekyll's house and he decided to go to meet him. In the Jekyll's house,Jekyll's old servant led  Mr Utterson to a large room where Dr Jekyll was sitting beside fireplace. He looked white and ill and he welcomed his friend with a thin , tired voice. And then, he bsgan to tell his friend about Mr Hide. He mentioned 'I promise you I'll never see him again. I've finished with him forever. "  Dr Jekyll was so tired. Also, he had received a letter by Mr Hide. Of course, the letter was written by himself, but the writer was his another personality, Mr Hide. It said ' Please don't worry abour me. i am quite safe and I am certain that I can escape unharmed whenever I wish.'

Moreover, Dr Jekyll  warned Mr Utterson that Mr Hyde was going to kill Mr Utterson.

I feel sorry for Dr Jekyll because he was distressed about his unconscious personality. I hope that Mr Hyde get away from Dr Jekyll's mind.

Dr JEKYLL and Mr HYDE WEEK11

                                                                

Hi, there. I started reading a new book! Very interesting!

The title is..." Dr JEKYLL and Mr HYDE". The story is about a man who has a dual personality. I think that many people know the story or the title. Actually, I've heard the title, but I don't know the detail. I wanted to read it , however I couldn't find it before. So, I was glad to find the book at my college library! Thank you! That's why I really enjoy reading it.

~ Dr JEKYLL and Mr HYDE~
In London, something happened in a narrow street. A girl bumped into a man in the street. She fell down. Then, we would guess that the man helped her to stand up and said 'Are you ok?', however the man took shocking action. You know what?  He calmly walked all over the child's body with his heavy boots, and left her screaming on the ground. Hearing the scream, people gathered the street and caught the evil man. And then, people were surprised to see the man's face, because the man was Dr Jekyll who was a famous doctor and never did like that. Strangely, he intriduced himself as 'Hyde'. People couldn't believe it. A lawyer, Mr Utterson had heard the story from his best friend, Richard Enfield. Moreover, he receieved an envelope from Dr. Jekyll. the doctor wrote,' If I die, or if I disappear for more than three months,...I wish  to leave everything I own to my dear friend Edward Hyde'. Mr Utterson began to trying figure out what had happened to Dr. Jekyll. He asked his old friend, Dr. Lanyon, but he didn't know a friend of Jekyll's- a man called Hyde.

What a strange story! I want to know what happed to Dr.Jekyll quickly. Exciting:)

TOY STORY3 WEEK10

Hey,guys! I was in a busy week and got tired...
Anyway, I have a good news today..because .... I finished reading the book, "TOY STORY 3" yay!!
So, I'll begin to read new one next week. Which book am  I going to read...? I want to read a musical story.

Okay, today's post.

TOY STORY3  ~FINAL~
Woody and his friends were going to escape from the center, however Lotso and Big Baby(Lotso' friend) blocked the way to Andy's house. Woody told Lotso about Daisy,Lotso's child and tried prevailing on Lotso.Then, Woody showed a badge which Big Baby had been given by Daizy. The badge was Big Baby's treasure. Though Big Baby was moved, Lotso knocked the pendant out of Big Baby's hand. Suddenly, theBabay got so angry and grabbed Lotso! Finally, he was thrown into a Dumpster.

Unfortunately, Woody and his mates were taken to a landfill and an incinerator was approaching to them. They ran and ran on the conveyor belt. They got tired and were ready for their ends together....Suddenly a claw came and rescued them! They were lifted high into the air.

Woddy and his mates arrived at Andy's house and went back to the attic. And then, Woody wrote something down and went back to his cardboard. he wote' 1225 Sycamore', it was Bonnie's house.

Andy found the note and he visited to Bonnie with his toys. Andy asked her to promise that she took care of his toys instead of him. Bonnie promised and Andy and Bonnie began to play with the toys. All toys felt happy. At last, Andy left Bonnie's house and he said ' Bye guys'.
After seeing Andy off, Woody said ' So long ,partner'.


I was moved the story and the last line, "they would always love Andy...brcause he had loved them first".  I'm so sorrry throwing away my toys before. Also, I want to see the movie!

Oh, Buzz was back to normal!:)

Today is Father's Day! Did you thank your father? I wanted to give a present for my father, but I couldn't. It's because postage  on  a parcel might be more expensive than buying a present...:-(

~TOY STORY 3~
At Bonnie's house, Woody figured out a way of going back to Andy's house by using computer. What a  clever  toy! Where did he learn how to use a computer? Anyway..., he found that Andy's house was near by Bonnie's house. And then, he decided to take back other Andy's toys to Andy's house, so he asked Bonnie's toys where Sunnyside Daycare was. However, they stopped Woody to go to the Daycare because they knew the ruled Daycare by Lotso. One of toys told Woddy about Lotso's a bitter experience in his past. His friend was Daisy. After a little playtime, she fell asleep and her parents drove away without her toys. Her toys set off to find her house and came back. However, the time was too late. Daisy was given a brand new pink bear instead of Lotso. Then, he was deeply hurt and changed his character. It was the similar situation to Woody's.

Finally, Woddy went to the Daycare center by Bonnie's toys help. At the center, he was surpried to see the situation that his friends were treated cruelly. He appeared before Andy's toys and planned a strategy to save Buzz and escape from the center. Woody's plan went very smoothly well. Except one problem, Buzz began to speak Spanish. When Woody and his friends pushed a button to be normal Buzz, but he changed a Spanish man!

I was relieved that Andy's toys could escape from the center, but where was Lotso.....?  Also, It wa funny that Buzz suddenly  became a Spanish man!

TOY STORY3 WEEK8

Hi. The rainy season is coming now.....oh, is it the season?  Actually, there were many sunny and hot days in this week! Keep going! I do not like sticky days! Anyway...,


~TOY STORY3~
Buzz and other Andy's toys tried to get out from the daycare center, but they couldn't. After that, Buzz heard a conversation by chance. His new friends, Ken, Twitch, and Chunk were walking there. So, Buzz followed them, and then the three toys began to talk about him and Andy's toys. They said, " We'll keep the space ranger(Buzz) , and other(Andy's toys) are disposable".  The space guy thought "What? What is it mean?" Suddenly, he was found and captured.


After that, other Andy's toys wanted to transfer to Butterfly room where gentle children were at least. So, they requested Losto who was a leader toy of the center. However, he made a sudden change and ordered them to pay dues as a rule. Moreover, one of Andy's toys, Jessie was captured and imprisoned for a cubby by .....Buzz. Then, he was not quite himself. He obeyed Losto.


New friends in the center were wicked men! Buzz was strange something! What did they do? Why did Buzz change? I wonder... I hope that Andy's toys could go back home safely.

TOY STORY 3 WEEK7

I’m reading a new book, TOY STORY 3.


 











I think that many people know the story,because it is one of Disney animated movies. I like Disney animation and I haven't seen the movie( TOY STORY3), so I chose this book.

~TOY STORY 3~
The main character is  a cowboy toy, Woody. He had been lived with other toys in Andy' s house for many years. Andy was a their owner and friend. However, a little Andy grew up and then he became a college student. So, he hardly played with his toys, and he put away them in an attic room. Toys felt lonely and wanted to play with Andy again. They were waiting for Andy in the room every day.

One day, Andy was asked to sort his toys into keeping or throwing away. He kept just one toy, Woody. All Woody's friends were put into a garbage bag and left a garbage dump. Fortunately, they tore the bag and escaped from it. Then, Woody and his friends found a cardboard witten 'Sunnyside' in an Andy mother's car. There were many Molly(Andy's younger sister)'s toys in a cardboard. Woody and his friends wanted to go and see ' Sunnyside'. Then, the car left for there.

'Sunnyside' was a day-care center where Andy used to go. At beginning they liked there because the interior design was nice and there were many children. They hoped that they could play with children again. They also made good new friends there. However, Woody told his friends to go back to Andy. His friends said, ' Why do we have to go back? Andy doesn't play with me anymore!' .Woody got angry and went back home alone.After that,  a problem happened. The children palyed with the toys violently. All Andy's toys thought,' Andy never handled us like that!'.


At the same time,Woody was found a little girl named Bonnie.



Wow! Andy grew up a man? Time flies! I threw away my old toys before...like Andy. So, I felt sad to know Woody and their friends' feelings. They believed ' Someday, Andy plays with us again!'. Thus, they would be terribly shocked to be thrown away by Andy. We should keep our toys preciously....., but we have no enough space for them! Oliver Twist WEEK6

Hello, everyone!
Recently, it is hot hot hot weather, isn't it?  Summer is coming....

and...Today, I have a pity news for you :-(  I mean that I've finished reading Oliver Twist. So, this time is last post of Oliver Twist, but I'm reading a new book now. What is the title? Sorry, I don't tell you about it yet! Please, be looking forward to my next post!

Anyway,

~Oliver Twist~ FINAL

Bill kept on walking with his dog after commiting a murder. He was restless, because he was worried if he was found the murder by someone. However, the case was spreaded quickly and people began looking for the murderer. Moreover, a rumor was spreaded that the guilty person was with his dog, so Bill tried to kill his dog. How awful! Fortunately, the wise dog sensed right away that Bill was going to kill him. So, the dog ran away and Bill was left alone.
Finally, he was found and ran away from  police and people, but he hung in a accident.










                                                    

  At the same time, an old man, Fagin was arrested and imprisoned because he let children steal. At the time, thieves were executed by hanging in the UK. Of course, Fagin was imposed the death penalty. His mind was unstable, and kept on talking to himself.




Surprisingly, an important fact came to light!
One night, Mr.Brownlow visited a man, Monks....yes, Monks was one of three men who tried to entrap Oliver.
Mr.Brownlow told Monks,"I know you are one of the guilty people, and you aimed Oliver because you and Oliver are half-brother."............What?
According to Mr.Brownlow, Monks and Oliver's father was wealthy, and he fell in love with young woman(Oliver's mam) despite he had a wife(Monks' mam) and a son(Monks).However, the father had already passed away when Oliver was born. Later, Monks knew the fact and then he saw Oliver by chance. He never wanted to share father's inheretence with his younger brother, so he tried killing Oliver. After all, he signed a true statement of facts before witnesses and restore to Oliver the money and property he had unlawfully seized from him. Also he quickly wasted his wealth and once more fell into his old life of crime. He was in prison and died there at last.


How is Oliver doing? He was adopted as a son by Mr.Brownlow, and they lived happily ever after.



At longth, I've finished reading Oliver Twist! It was wondeful story, and I knew a little bit about society and class of the past England. I'm really glad Oliver became happy at last! ......To tell the truth, I want Nancy to be happy too. She did a good job, indeed!
Someday,I'd like to visit England and  see the musical there:)

Oliver Twist WEEK５

Hi.  How did you spend your weekdays? 

Mine was really really...busy! How time flies!! I guess this weekend pass more quickly...:-<　
Anyway,


~Oliver Twist~
 At the same time, Fagin and Bill were worry that Oliver told police about them and they were
arrested. They were planning to do something to him with Monks......probably, never kind things.

 Fortunately, only person who tried to save him appeared.
Her name is Nancy. She is a young woman who lives with Bill. She found that Oliver' s life was being aimed, and wanted to save him no matter what. She knew how cruel Bill was.
She discoverd a woman, Miss Maylie who lived with Oliver.


  When Bill was ill, she gave medicine to him. But then, she blended a strong sleeping drug. He fell deep sleeping, and she visited Miss Maylie, and she told everything she knew what the three bad men let Oliver did and guessed about Monks' tricks.

  Other day, at midnight, she managed to contact and meet with an old gentleman, (probably)Mr. Brownlow. She told him about Monks on London Bridge.

Her secret plan seemed to be working well......however, there was a spy there. Fagin and Bill let Doger followed up Nancy. They was suspecting her since some days ago.

 Doger told them what he heard on the London Bridge. Bill was enraged and he beaten Nancy to death after that day. The poor young woman lay on the floor..... Bill seemed to regret it at first, but he ran away not to be arrested by police.

I like the character, Nancy very much. I think she is the braverest character in this story. Despite she knows how cruel Bill is, she took some actions and tried to save Oliver. If I were Nancy, I would get scared to take brave actions like her. Also, her actions will change the situation. However, I  really regret her death.

Thank you Nancy!! You were a cool woman, indeed!!!

Oliver Twist WEEK４

Hi. How did you spend happay GW?  I had good time with my family,
and now...I want some more(GW). Anyway,


~Oliver Twist~
     Oliver was arrested, but he was proved his innocence by a witness. However, he was being knocked unconccious. So, the gentle victim, Mr. Brownlow pitied Oliver and brought him to Mr.Brownlow's house. For a short time, he was living with Mr.Brownlow who was a  gentle, wealthy and sensible person.

      One day, Mr.Brownlow asked Oliver to go on an errand, but Oliver was kidnapped by Fagin's companions. He was taken back to Fagin's hiding place,and then he met a fierece-looking man ,Bill Sikes. Moreover, he was forced to take part in a robbery.
    

     The night of the crime,the brave boy cried and let the owner of the targetted house know and finally he was shot his arm by the criminal's gun. The robbers ran away and left wounded Oliver in the dark outside.
He lost consciousness. Fortunately, his life was saved by Mrs.Maylie, Rose and a kind-hearted Dr. Losberne. After that, Mrs. Maylie and Oliver began to live together...


     If I were Oliver, I wouldn't cry and let the owner know inspite of sticking a gun into my back. It's awful!! So, I think that he is really brave boy. He's gentle, polite, honest and brave boy, so he was helped by many people, I think.Also, he never blamed anyone, however unhappy he was. Most people(and me) sometimes might  blame someone for their anger or sadness, but he never.I hope that he will be happy and live peacefully. But, Fagin and Bill..are going to do something next, I guess.Hum..:-(    Bless Oliver!

Oliver Twist WEEK３

     I'm continuing to enjoy "Oliver Twist"!

The story is set in  19th-century the United Kingdom.


Oliver Twist is brought up in the workhouse(his mother died after her giving birth to Oliver) and sent out to work. He grew up in a difficult environment, however, he is always a innocent and dignified boy. I like his polite expression. For example, he often use 'sir' to other people at the end of his words.


In the workhouse, the little Oliver and his companions(other children) suffered terrible hunger, because they weren't given enough food. One day they held a council to decide a person who asked their master for more after the supper. Unfortunately, Oliver became the person by votes.


In the evening, he rose from a table and, advancing to the master,bowl in hand, said,

"Please sir, I want some more."

 

This is a very famous line(or scene) of the story. It is the start of his adventure.


Of course, the master got angury and finally, Oliver was expelled from the workhouse and sent out to an undertaker as a servant. However, he was treated cruelly by members of the undertaker. At last, he ran away from there and decided to go to London. The little boy walked for a week, and almost reached London, but he was hungry and exhausted. When he was sitting, a little and  strangest-looking boy, called 'Artful Dodger' appeared and took him to Doger's living place with Mr. Fagin and other children who had no parents.
They were making a living by thieving in London.


One day, he was arrested as a thief by  police's mistake, when he  walked the city with Doger and another companion.

The true criminals were Doger and the another comapanion!





 Oliver was very poor boy, but he is always polite and energetic. I like his character and I want to be like him
 . Also, his adventure always makes me feel thrilling! I'm looking forward to reading its continuation.

SELF-INTRODUCTION ~Welcome to my page!~ WEEK2

    My name is Azusa Konishi. Please call me "Azu". I have many hometowns such as Hyogo, Fukuoka, and Nagasaki. And now I live in Shiga with my grandparents.
  
     I like watching movies and musicals! My favorites are "Les Miserables", "The Lion King", and "Beauty and the Beast". One of my dreams is to see some Broadway musicals.

    I also like listening to musical songs and music composed by Joe Hisaishi. They make me happy and relaxed.


   In this semester, I'm going to read a few books. Fisrt one is" Oliver Twist"written by Charles Dickens who was a British novelist. This story was made into some movies and musicals. I've watched the movie and heard the musical songs. They were marvelous!!However, this is the first time that I read the original story.So, I'm looking forward to read it.
